There is a plethora of different things that you need to think about when kitting out your beauty lash salon. Perhaps one of your greatest focuses will need to be on the chairs that you pick up. Your clients are going to be spending a lot of time here, so you need to ensure that they are as comfortable as they possibly can be. If you are looking for an eyelash extension chair, then I want to introduce you to seven of the best.
What to look for in your eyelash chair?
Each of the eyelash chairs you find on this list has its own pros and cons. I feel that no matter what chair you opt for, you will not be disappointed. Before we dive into what each brings to the table, however, I want to walk you through some of the things I look for in lash chairs.
To start with, your biggest concern when choosing a chair for your salon is always going to be comfort. It does not matter how fantastic your salon chair is in other ways, because if it is not going to be comfortable for your customers to hop onto, it is going to be worthless. Your customer is likely going to be spending hours rooted to that chair, so you are going to want to ensure that it is going to be the best experience possible for them.
Some of the best chairs on the market will be zero gravity chairs. For those who are unaware; zero gravity chairs are the designed to evenly distribute the user’s body weight across the entirety of the chair. This, essentially, will make them feel incredibly comfortable…almost as if they are weightless. These chairs do cost a little bit more, but boy are they going to be worth it.
Remember; the quality of the material is also going to play a major role when it comes to the selection of your chair for comfort. Cheap chairs tend to be made of cheap materials. This can cause them to lose their form very quickly, or the fabric of the chair is going to feel abysmal against the skin. This is never going to be a fun experience for your customers.
This is something which will mostly be down to what you want from your salon. If you are going to be carrying out eyelash extensions and threading regularly, then you are probably going to want to opt for something fixed that you can have in place. This provides the greatest level of durability and comfort. If you are planning to carry out the job a bit irregular, or perhaps your salon is lacking the space that you need, then a portable chair which you can fold up whenever you are not using it is going to come in handy. However, you should probably remember that these chairs are going to sacrifice a little when it comes to durability and comfort. Honestly, I only recommend that you opt for portable chairs if you are either:
- Sticking to a huge budget
- You have no choice but to opt for something which is portable.
All the eyelash chair products that you find on this page will have been rated for the durability that they boast. I feel that if you picked up any of these chairs, providing you use them properly, then they are going to last you an exceedingly long time. They are going to remain comfortable for your customers, and you won’t need to replace them any time soon.
Yes, you are likely going to be spending a little bit more on chairs that are durable, but overall it is going to be completely worth it. Remember; you may be spending more in the short term, but in the long term you are going to be spending a whole lot less as there will be no need to constantly replace the chair.
This is something which is going to be a personal choice too. Yes, reclining chairs are going to be a bit more comfortable for your customers in some cases, but not everybody will be able to work with a reclining chair. It is going to be dependent on how your salon has been set up to work. For example; you may not have enough space to work with a reclining lash extension chair, which means that you will need to opt for something that is fixed, although your working angle is going to be changed a little bit.
Most of the salon chairs that you find on this list are going to be reclining chairs, although I have sprinkled a few fixed position chairs in there for good measure.
Design of the chair
Finally; you will also wish to focus on the overall design of the chair. You want your chairs to be as inviting as possible, and they need to fit in with the rest of the aesthetics of your salon.
I will touch upon a few other elements that you should be on the hunt for as we go through these reviews!
Furnish&Style’s Best Eyelash and Eyebrow Chairs
Consumer Rating (4 / 5)
Furnish&Style shall start with a chair which has not necessarily been designed for dealing with eyelashes, but still works exceedingly well. One of the main reasons as to why I have opted to include this chair at the top of this list is simply because it is going to be so versatile for you to use. This means that it may be the perfect chair for those who are working to a serious budget when it comes to the design of their salon.
Adjustable eyebrow chair
There is a surprising amount of adjustment on this chair. The leg rest can be adjusted up to 180 degrees flat, while the back can be tilted up to 90 degrees vertical. This means that it should not be that difficult to get your customer in the position that you want them to be in. It would have been ideal to see a tiny bit more adjustment than what this chair brings to the table, but for something which has been crafted to be as versatile as possible, I suppose I can’t complain all that much.
Simple chair for Salons on a budget
You must remember that this chair has been designed to a budget. This means that you can’t expect all the ‘bells and whistles’ that other chairs on the market will have, particularly when it comes to construction. While I do not expect that this chair is going to be giving up the ghost any time within the next few years, it may not be the most comfortable chair in the world for your customers. Some people are not going to be a massive fan of the PVC material that it has been constructed from, and some people do report that the thick sponge padding, as good as it is, ends up losing its form after a short while. It is not a massive issue, but it is something worth thinking about. If you can afford a slightly more expensive eyelash chair, then you absolutely should.
Consumer Rating (3.5 / 5)
Right off the bat, I want to point out that this is an incredibly beautiful chair. You can probably tell that. It has somewhat of a faux-leather look to it, and the gorgeous chrome base really rounds out the design. It is going to be ideal for those salons which are trying to offer somewhat of a more luxurious look. It comes in at a very low price too.
There are a few issues with the chair, however. The biggest issue is that you do not get that much of a recline on it. Yes, you get a little bit of adjustment, but nowhere near as much as the other chairs that you will see on this list. This is not going to be ideal for every salon owner, mostly because the low amount of adjustment can make it difficult to work on lashes while you are sitting down. If you are the type of person that works standing up, then there is no real issue with it.
Some of the ‘larger’ customers may also feel a little bit restricted with the design. Some people have reported that the space between the arm rests is a little bit too narrow.
Great build quality & design
That being said, for the price that you are paying here, the chair has been surprisingly well-constructed. The materials feel great, and the chair never really loses the ‘beautiful shine’ that it has. Your customers are going to love being seated in this. The nice and thick base will ensure that it does not constantly move around too.
Consumer Rating (5 / 5)
If you want a chair that has all the ‘bells and whistles’ then look no further than this one. It is probably worth pointing out that this chair has not really been designed for the beauty industry, instead managing to find its way into many doctor’s surgeries and the like. However, you can’t really tell that it has been designed for that.
Modern stand out design
The only major issue that I see with this chair is that it does not fit the conventional salon environment. If you are opting for a salon that is a bit more traditional in looks, then this chair is likely not going to be for you. It looks quite modern, and as brilliant as the chair is, it is really going to stand out.
Automatic electric adjustment
The real highlight with this chair is the automatic adjustment on it. It is fully powered, which means that you can get your customer back into the position that you need them to be in easily. You have full control over the height, back, legs, and the seat. This means that you should always be able to find a position that is going to be comfortable for your customers.
One of the reasons why I feel that this chair would work well in an all-purpose salon is down to that adjustment. If you wish to provide face-down services, such as a massage, then you will love the fact that you can easily remove the headrest on the chair and allow your customers to get into position. I have actually not heard a single complaint about this chair.
Unique design, worth the money?
I think the one issue that you may have with this chair, other than the fact that it really does not look the part for most salons, is the fact that it is a bit on the expensive side. Since this is a chair which has been built for comfort and functionality, then you will need to pay a premium for it. Plus, all those sophisticated electronics tied up inside of the unit are going to cost a pretty penny. If you can afford it, then great. Your chair is always going to be the most important part of your salon, but I know that there are plenty of people out there who have limited budgets and you could easily get a chair for half the price and still have your customers comfortable.
Consumer Rating (4 / 5)
This is the last of our fixed position salon chairs that we will discuss on this page. If you are looking for something which can add a touch of class to a vintage-styled salon, then you are going to struggle to find something better than this.
The chair is huge. Your customers are going to have a lot of space to wiggle about in the chair and get comfortable. This is going to be ideal when you are offering treatments which take a little bit longer than the norm.
The one issue that people seem to have with this chair is with the swivel functionality. Yes, the chair can swivel a little bit, but not too much. This can make treatments which require a lot of maneuvering of your customers a little bit difficult, but it should be fine for most purposes. It should be fine as a lash chair anyway, mostly because you are unlikely to be moving your customers around too much.
The style of the chair is not going to be for everybody. I must admit that I am not a fan of the trim on the chair, opting for more modern styled chairs. However, if you have a vintage salon, then this chair is going to be perfect for you. It really does look the part.
Comfortable yet durable
In terms of durability, I don’t see this chair failing on you any time soon. It feels solid and the seat is genuinely comfortable. The lower amount of adjustment means that you have fewer ‘failing’ points on the chair too. It may be a low priced chair, but it is going to last you a surprisingly long time.
Consumer Rating (4.5 / 5)
We are now going to move onto the portable chairs. As you are likely going to be able to tell from the final 3 chairs…they look a lot different. I would never advocate for having these set up permanently in a salon, mostly because they do look wildly different and they don’t always look to be the most appealing things in the world to sit on.
Portable & folding lash chair
I have selected this chair because it folds up surprisingly flat and it is very easy to carry about. This makes it perfect for salons ‘on the go’, or simply for salons that are lacking space. It weighs just 20lbs too, although this is likely going to mean that it moves about a lot when you are working on some treatments if you are not careful.
While it does look like a little bit of a scary chair, it is surprisingly comfortable to sit back on, having been ergonomically designed. Your customer is going to get full support from the armrest, the seat, chest pad and the head support. You can change up the position of each of the parts top ensure that you can fit in customers of all body types.
Great value durable build
Despite the low price, the chair is surprisingly durable too. You won’t be damaging the PU leather on this chair in a hurry. However, do be aware that the material is not the most comfortable in the world. It does feel a little bit ‘plasticy’, although that is the type of thing that you should expect from a chair that is priced at a low price like this one. The foam padding is at least comfortable and won’t be bent out of shape any time soon.
Consumer Rating (4.5 / 5)
This is three times the price of the previous chair, and it really does feel like it. It really is a case of you get what you pay for in this industry.
One of the things that I love about the Stronglite is the fact that it is so…strong. The chair has been constructed from a heat-treated aluminum alloy which means that it is nigh on unbreakable, while at the same time being incredibly light to move about.
There is a ton of adjustment on this chair and clients up to 6 feet and 6 inches in height can easily be seated in this chair. This is fantastic. After all, it is unlikely that you are ever going to encounter customers that are that tall!
Padding & Build Quality
The chair is padded in all the right places which will offer your customers the highest level of comfort. It is probably worth noting that this chair has been designed as a massage chair and you can often find it in the office of physiotherapists. The major benefit of this is that some of the parts can be removed for a bit more comfort e.g. your legs.
If you wish to scoot the chair around the salon, then the wheels are going to come in incredibly handy.
You get what you pay for
I think the only real issue I have with this chair is the price. Sure, it is fine if you really do need something portable, but if you don’t, then spend the same amount of money on a fixed chair. It will look a bit more inviting in your salon.
Consumer Rating (4 / 5)
Our final chair is the only chair on this list which has been explicitly designed for working with eyebrows. However, I concede that it probably does not look like the most inviting chair in the world to sit on.
Clients recline in comfort
This chair can be reclined to a position where it is almost flat, which does make it easy to work on your clients. The back rest is surprisingly comfortable too. I think the only real issue that I have with the design of this chair is that it is lacking arm rests, which can be a bit annoying for your customers during the longer treatments. That being said, it is comfortable enough that I don’t think too many customers are going to be bothered by it.
The frame of the chair is very solid and you are unlikely to ever really end up breaking this. It can support up to 350 pounds of weight, after all. While the chair does look a bit ‘flat’ in various parts in the photos, I can assure you that it is very well padded.
What eyelash extension chair should you choose?
This is up to you. While I am a massive fan of the Medi Spa when it comes to fixed chairs and the Stronglite when it comes to the portable chairs, I understand that not everybody’s budget is going to stretch to them. Always think about the design of your salon and what your needs are. I promise you; you won’t be disappointed with a single one of the chairs on this list.
